You rent a dumpster to get rid of a bunch of stuff around your house. After everything is loaded in, you look around your garage, and see those cans with wet paint from your renovation a couple of years ago. Of course, the terms on dumpster rental do not allow for hazardous material like paint, oil and tires. Fortunately, we have a few options in Metro Detroit and Ann Arbor for getting rid of these. As far as paint, the easiest option of course, is to dry the paint cans out – put some cat litter or sand in them to dry them out if needed. As long as the can is dry, they can be tossed in the dumpster, or even in your weekly garbage. Outside of that, following are some options within the area for getting rid of paint, aerosols and any other household chemicals. Hope this helps.
